Local guide

Finish, heat, and the water you fill with

This page explains the choices. It does not quote a price and it does not promise how the plaster will look in August.

This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.

Three interiors, one shell

Smooth plaster, quartz aggregate plaster, and exposed pebble are the usual resurface families. All of them sit on the existing structure after prep. A hollow or stained surface needs a plan for what is removed.

Published price ranges on other companies' websites are their marketing. They are not a quote from this guide and they are not a Valley Center average. Ask for a scope that lists prep, finish, tile, coping, and startup.

Heat and hard water

Valley Center summers are inland heat. A cement finish that is troweled and then filled in that heat needs a crew that plans the day. Well water can be high in minerals. Scale and etching are chemistry problems, not proof that one brand failed.

Ask where drain water will go before the pool is emptied. Do not assume a ditch or a storm drain is allowed.
